The root of all evil

"I can't accept this mate, it's been defaced". I'm trying to pay for the newspaper at my local newsagent. I fish around in my wallet for another five dollar note, which is frustrating because I'm in a hurry. Finally, on the train, my curiosity gets the better of me, and I rifle through my wallet for the culprit. I was quite surprised to discover the defacement in question was directly addressed to me:

Xul, 4 APR
901 B81A
SLV

I can't recall where this note came from. Who ever does? But I did purchase that gin and tonic the night I met Furriskey, and I do recall taking taking a note in my change. Could the message be from the Munster-esque barman? And what does it mean?

This might help. I thought that the 901 B81A might be a post/zip code but I wouldn't know if it was. I'm no Australian. Then I realised that SLV could be the State Library of Victoria. In which case 901 B81A is probably a reference number or a call number.

Which it is. Apocalypse and/or metamorphosis by Norman O. Brown. A so called biography of the art of thinking.

Honestly Xul, i'm surprised you didn't think of it. =oP

Isn't it fun being in the scooby gang? More evil conquered! For now... [spooky music]
